Crucifixion is an act associated to no faith movement other than Christianity. Roman crucifixion was an ancient method of execution in which the victim's hands and feet were bound and nailed to a cross. It was one of the most painful and disgraceful methods of capital punishment. Victims were usually beaten and tortured and then forced to carry their own cross to the crucifixion site.
But let me pay more attention on modern day meaning of crucifixion. The modern day Crucifixion has been reduced to act we talk much about it, other than experiencing, but There is one thing that I know that whenever we miss His Crucifixion we turn to miss his resurrection power that is the reason why we don’t experience the true power and a fresh move of God in our churches to day. What then is the meaning of true Crucifixion? It is the stage of experiencing it and how can we Christians can we this level or stage? It is only when we move to the realm of self denial because the bible says, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save.
It took Jesus to operate in the realm of self denial to be able to get to the cross so therefore if any of us want to get to the cross we talk about it each day and use it as weapon in our prayers almost every day we must learn to denial our self of all the things the world brings to our door steps every day. Self denial is all about being unique in this word, keeping our pants on, closing our eyes to the things of the word and and more over saying it not my interest but His interest.
We are in an era where the most difficult thing to do is to differentiate between a believer and non believer simply because we do not want to denial our self for the cross as Christ did. But this man on the cross cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?"  Just because he was carrying our sins and but all that his father could do was to look beyond His only Son sufferings to the point where you and I can be saved by his Son’s blood, for we are nothing without the blood of Jesus.
We all have to experience the cross through self denial for it is only at this point we can boldly say we are proud of what He did on the cross and not ashamed of the cross.
This Jesus lived a different life and the world couldn’t take it any longer AND THEY CRUCIFIED HIM.
