In the physical realm, our sight means direction, and without direction one cannot reach his goals. The basic goal of every christian is to enter the kingdom of God. God in His own divine wisdom has granted unto us our sight, JESUS CHRIST. John 1:12 says that "but to them that received Him and believed in His name, to them that He gave the right to become sons of God. Receiving Christ as your Lord and personal saviour simply means you have been given your sight, hence direction to the Kingdom of God.
Being given a sight is the major difference between a christian and an unbeliever. The Bible makes us understand in 2Corinthians4:3-4 that unbelievers are vailed by the god of this world,SIN. "And even if our Gospel is vailed,it is vailed to those who are perishing for the god of this world has blinded the mind of unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God". If the Bible describes Jesus as the true light (John1:3) then who ever have Him have light and therefore the road to the Kingdom is clear for the person to walk on.
How firm is your grip on this light? One thing we must bear in mind is that we have not got to the kingdom yet and a slip of the light from our hands, which is our direction could be a disaster because we will then lose our sight.
Brethren, let us do well to hold on firmly to our sight, so that we do not lose our direction to the KINGDOM OF GOD.
